Hamilton Burr

Founder/Lead Coach

Hamilton is a seasoned rugby player with nearly a decade of elite sports experience. Having played for the Gallagher Chiefs, Waikato Rugby, and Glasgow Warriors. Known for his loyalty and leadership, he’s played over 50 games for Hautapu and earned praise from coaches like Warren Gatland for his professionalism and dedication.

Whilst playing Hamilton has also developed his coaching resume, having began his senior coaching career as a player coach at Hautapu Prems and coaching for may years within the youth space

Over the past 10 years he has coached 3 seasons with U14 and U15 sides at St Peters leading them to 3 finals. Whilst back in his home country in Scotland Hamilton coached at Stirling County being a lead coach within their academy of over 100 children between the ages of 14 and 18. Similarly, at the same time Hamilton was a lead trainer at Dollar Academy and a skills coach with the Scottish Rugby academy.

Hamilton holds World Rugby Level 3 accreditation which is the highest level given by the governing body. Additionally, he also holds World Rugby Strength & Conditioning Level 2 and an Educator license which allows him to facilitate world rugby coaching courses.

Complementing his practical experience, Burr holds a first-class Honors BSc in Sport, Fitness, and Exercise. Overall, he is a respected figure within the rugby community, known for his contributions both on and off the field in the rugby World.
